Certified as a Dietitian/Nutritionist by the State of New York and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Nan Windmueller’s training included Capital District internships at Albany Medical Center, St. Peter’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, the Stratton VA Medical Center, and the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. She was honored to serve on the Board of Directors of The Capital Region Association for Eating Disorders for several years.
The creator and facilitator of several nutrition workshops, including Coping with Cravings, televised in the Capital Region, Nan is known for her many appearances as a Consulting Nutritionist on WNYT-TV’s noon news show. For years, Public Radio fans knew her to be WAMC’s Living Well Nutritionist, as she broadcast health and nutrition information to listeners across the United States.
A lover of food and creative cooking, Nan was a contributor to the New York Times Natural Foods Cookbook. One of her recipes was distributed nationally by a frozen food company. Utilizing these experiences, Nan teams with clients to modify recipes for good health, while retaining maximum flavor, nutritional value, and authenticity.
Nan’s mantra is, “There are no good foods, or bad foods. I teach strategies for eating all foods, mindful of every client’s nutritional needs, taste preferences, schedule, and culture.”
Located in the heart of New York’s Capital Region in Albany County, Nan’s practice welcomes virtual clients.
